Join Montgomery Parks for Food Matters: Food Recovery and Community Impact featuring Cheryl Kollin, Program Director for Community Food Rescue. She will talk about food recovery as a way to alleviate hunger in Montgomery County and decrease food waste at the landfill. Food Matters is an informative speaker series, sponsored by Montgomery Parks, that features storytelling of farmers, educators, chefs, community organizers, business professionals and food lovers. It is an opportunity for community members to engage with experts in the regional food system. Complimentary food and beverages are provided. Cheryl Kollin is principal of Full Ventures, a business consulting firm. She helps entrepreneurs, small businesses, and nonprofits launch food businesses. Cheryl serves as Program Director for Community Food Rescue, the coordinated network for food recovery in Montgomery County. Community Food Rescue, a program of Manna Food Center, takes a systems approach to reducing wasted food and increasing food to people experiencing hunger. Cheryl holds a Master’s of Business Administration in sustainable business from the Bainbridge Graduate Institute. She is a founding member of the Montgomery County Food Council.
