Join Montgomery Parks as we present Food Matters: Foodie Friday, a summer speaker series geared toward all things food. Foodie Friday cooks up its first batch of experts on Friday, May 25 at the Brookside Gardens Visitor Center Auditorium. Guest speakers Kate Medina and Hannah Sholder from The Charles Koiner Center for Urban Farming will discuss life and work at the Koiner Farm in downtown Silver Spring and their partnership with urban farms across the county to promote hands-on agricultural STEM education. Food Matters: Foodie Fridays features regional experts that focus on topics such as land preservation, urban farming, community food projects, food access and highlighting stories from our area farmers, educators, chefs, community organizers, and food lovers.
