InterAct Story Theatre presents FREE performances and events for kids and families with the Wheaton Family Theatre Series!
Grupo Rompe Cajón is a youth group specializing in Afro-Peruvian music. The group's mission is to bring the rich folkloric traditions of Peru's coast to the DC community. It showcases a variety of genres, including Festejo, Landó, and Zamacueca, and brings to life songs about celebration as well as the struggle for Afro-Peruvian freedom before slavery and equality since. Come join Rompe Cajón for a participatory performance - the audience will sing, clap, and dance, learning new rhythms and songs! Best for ages 4 and up.
There will be two performances at Highland Elementary School, 3100 Medway Street, Wheaton, MD 20902: Saturday, November 12 at 11 a.m. and Sunday, November 13 at 2 p.m. FREE and open to the public! No tickets or registration needed.
Masks are optional but recommended for everyone age 3 and older.
For safety reasons our schedule is subject to change due to ongoing Covid-19 health and safety needs. Please see our website for the latest information. www.interactstory.com/wheaton
