Come join us for the National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day Event! This free and in-person event will be held at the Wheaton Recreation Center in Wheaton, MD. We aim to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS within the Black community and provide essential information on prevention, testing, and treatment options. A group of NAACP ACTSO students will present an awareness skit about HIV and AIDS as seen through the eyes of young people, and a Black physician and researcher who specializes in HIV/ treatment and prevention will facilitate interactive audience discussion. Information will be provided on PrEP and other preventative measures. Also, come enjoy soft jazz by DJ ONE LUV and light refreshments.
