Monthly Fee & Responsibilities: All WAP Gallery artists are required to volunteer to staff the gallery for a minimum of 18 hours. Volunteer hours are served in 3 hour shifts. Thus, artists must volunteer for at least 6 shifts by the end of the exhibition. Artists must pay a fee of $80 for the 8 week exhibition, due at drop-off. (This is approximately 9 hours and $40 per month.) For every shift that an artist does not serve of their required 6 shifts, there will be an additional fee of $15. Artists who are able to serve more than their required 6 shifts will be compensated $20 per shift. The Gallery's commission is 10% on all sales.

Display Policy: The WAP Gallery reserves the right to determine the artwork that will be exhibited based on size, medium, and content and aims to maintain a diverse representation of local artists. Artists can exhibit from three to six works to occupy display space equivalent to three 24"x32" paintings. The gallery has a limited amount of counter/shelf space including locked glass cases for three dimensional work. All artwork must be display-ready. Art for hanging (framed and unframed) must be wired using eye hooks or d-rings and wire that is a sufficient gauge to hold the weight of the artwork. Unframed canvases must have their edges painted. Artwork that is not ready for hanging may not be accepted. Artists may sell prints from their own standard black rack with steel frame and may bring counter items for display approval at drop off at no additional charge.

Art Drop-Off: All accepted applicants will receive an email on Sunday, February 13 with a link to the gallery's signup.com page to reserve a time to deliver their art from February 16-19.

WAP Mission: The WAP Gallery’s purpose is to showcase Montgomery County artists and Wheaton's potential as an arts destination. The gallery is part of WAP’s mission to bring the community together with art at the annual Wheaton Arts Parade & Festival. Wheaton Arts Parade is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. The WAP Gallery’s space is subsidized by Westfield Wheaton.

Artists must read and agree to the terms in the detailed prospectus. It is written to mirror the Consignment Agreement that artists must sign when they drop off their art.
