*** Transformations: Open Style Urban Dance Battle *** Location: Westfield Wheaton Mall, in front of the Macy's REGISTRATION MUST BE DONE THROUGH THE EVENT BRITE ONLINE!!!!! LINK BELOW! There will be no one taking cash at the venue. It is free for spectators and $20 for contestants. The Music: Dj Mate Masie will be on the decks spinning a wide variety of urban dance music genres. The Format: The battle will begin with a preliminary round, in which each participant will showcase one (1) minute for the judges; eight (8) to sixteen (16) dancers (depending on the number of contestants) will be chosen to advance to the 1 v 1 battles. Prizes: 1st Place: $250 Cash and a ($125 American Express Gift Card courtesy of Westfield Wheaton Mall) 2nd Place: $125 American Express Gift Card courtesy of Westfield Wheaton Mall) Judging: Panel of Five (5) from the Urban Artistry Team of judges will choose the dancers to advance from the preliminaries to the final round.
